I just purchased a Hunter 22' 82 model. I have read MANY reviews that speak of a leak coming from the centerboard area. Anyone heard of or dealt with this? Thanks Jon
If your boat doesn't leak, then do not worry. I am not as familiar with that boat but would tend the leak coming from the bolt holding the shallow draft swing keel that swings up. That is generally the case with all boats which have swing keels, centerboards, etc. of that age
Hey Jonathan, where are you keeping the boat? I have a 22 down in Mandarin in Jax. If you ever get down this way let me know, always looking for someone to take the boat out with.my e-mail is davendorth@hotmail.comthanks
I recently acquired a Hunter 22 and have had it out a few times. The previous owner did mention that the boat will take on some water around the centerboard when heavily heeled in rough water. Sounds like a "feature". Again not my experience but looking at the boat it does seem plausable.
