centerboard for oday 12

how do you repair a centerboard on an oday 12 that will go up and down but not stay in the up position? is there some stopper or special part?thx

Gary, while I have not see the 'Oday 12', I do have a Widgeon which also uses lines for raising and lowering the centerboard. On the widgeon there is a cleat to tie off the line when the board is raised. Hope that helps, Salty
