I would like to build a trailer for my 34. But I'm trying to figure out where the center of gravity would be. I know it's somewhere in the keel but with it swept back is it near the top or the center of the boat or half way down the keel in the middle or??

Since this will only be a yard trailer I was going to mount the axles right onto the cradle and weld and bolt a tongue onto the cradle. That hard part is figuring out where the axles should be mounted on the cradle.

Any ideas other that trial and error:D?
thanks

Don, I don't know if this can help, but here is a pix of my boat being splashed last year. The slings are equal length and the boat is level when the front sling is right against the keel (shoal draft) and the stern sling is a couple of feet behind the keel. This would pretty much put the center of gravity near the center of the keel or just a tad behind the center. I'm also including a pix of the boat on its cradle and you'll notice the keel sticks out in front and in back of the middle support (8' long) by about a foot (keel is about 10' long). Drawing of the cradle frame is attached if it can help you decide where to place the axles. Good luck.
