I recently purchases a 2012 Hunter e33, with a B&R rig without backstay. In a a couple of weeks I will be taking the mast out for winter storage. Would anyone know where about the point of balance is for placement of lifting strop? I am in my first year of sailing, so any advice would be appreciated.

Any reason in particular why you would want to remove such a large mast in preparation for winter storage ?

I'm looking more at the installation in the spring as being more labour intensive.

Our marina will not store the boat with the mast up. There are others around here that will but not at PCHM. I think that it may be a cash grab but it is what it is. Rigging is inspected annually as a result.

To the original poster:

I have a 2006 H33. With the strap under the upper spreader the mast is a little base heavy. It is easily controlled by one man to set on the stands. Give the service guys at True North a call. They will be able to confirm if this is the same on your e33. Nice boat by the way.
