thank you Dan! However, I am a very new boat owner and I do not know how to lift the boat,(currently on a trailer) how long will this take?, Should I get help?, will it be costly? (broke), Where should I get parts if they are needed? I am very new to the sailing world but it has been a dream come true to get my first boat. Also, I am having trouble getting the boat to charge at more than 8 volts. If you have any direction for me please send it on. Thank you very much. David

David - Lifting the boat can be tricky. You should definitely get some help. If there is anyway to get someone with a lift to do it, then do it, sacrifice somethinge else to avoid dropping it. If not, you can jack it up and put stands under it, but I would get someone who has done it to direct you. I have done it, and I'm not going to do it again if I can avoid it. Parts are available from Rudy Nickerson. He used to work for O'day back in the day. Call him at 504.473.3280. As far as the charging, the first step is to figure out where the problem is. Take your multimeter and start at the alternator. Take care not to shock yourself. See where the voltage drop is and we can figure out what to do next. Justin - O'day Owners' Web
