Hunter 19_93-96 Big Pine Key
I have a 1993 Hunter. I have to replace the line that raises the centerboard. The manual is not very helpful. It looks like the whole assembly is held in the well by a single bolt. I assume one must pull the boat and get it on a sling lift to do this. Do you just drop it down and then thread the line down thru the tube by the mast support post? I also want to replace the pin on which the centerboard pivots at the same time. Can the pin be ordered from Hunter or does one have to fabricate it? Also I need a new mast foot. the hinge casting has broken off making it tricky to raise the mast. Hunter referred me to Z Spar but they don't have anything that looks right. Any ideas?

Your On the Right Track

The pin can be had at any machine shop there will be two one for the centerboard and one for the sheave on the up haul line. Take the bracket with you to makesure you get the length right. Duck tape will hold the pin in the bracket when it is going back in. The roller and the sheave may need to be replaced as well. When you get the mast down there will be a casting number on it. That will make it way easier to order the new one check here: http://www.usspars.com/section_frame.asp?Section=Z145 Good Luck Let us know how it went
