Underneath the compression post you will find a cover plate. When that is removed, you will see a large bolt that should have caulk on it.To remove the centerboard, you need to remove the caulk and the large bolt. That will drop the centerboard out. Make sure you attach a line to the cascade or centerboard line if you intend to replace it.The safe way is to lift the boat up on a lift. Make repairs as necessary, paint and or replace cebterboarrd line.When replacign the bolt, make sure it will screw in correctly without force or you will strip it. Also, caulk the top of the boolt liberally.Crazxy Dave Condon
