center board cable

What is the length of the cable that pulls up the center board on and Oday25'. At the present I can't get at mind to get the length?? It broke while it was sitting on the trailer. I would like to get one made up ahead of time so when Ilaunch I can drop board and swim under the boat and hook up new one.Next were can I purchase a new one with the line spiced on???Thank you Raymond

If you have

a fiber glass center board, a good quality dacron 1/4 in. line will do just fine. Because the center board barely weighs 50-60 pounds. If you use the 1/4 in. line, tie a simple short tight knot at the center board so that you can get the cb all the way up into the trunk. Have a good day!! Tom

Cable length

I just replaced mine this spring(out of the water). I noticed last summer, after swimming under the boat, that the center board was not fully extended. I measured the old pendent and I then added 5 ft. The total length is 16 ft. I will trim excess once boat is in the water.Happy snorkelingDoug
