Wow @Brian D , it took me 5 minutes to stop laughing, when I read (in your link) this about the time of the Sun shot...

Of course you must make sure that your watch is correct in the first place. You can compare it to the time on your GPS or the Official US Time Clock on the Internet at http://nist.time.gov

I use the Admiral's iPad, pointing at the sun's position and reading the screen.
