I see the HOW chandlery has lots of books on celestial navigation. Can anyone recommend a good beginner's book on the subject?

"Celestial Navigation In A Nutshell"
I've read several, and the one that really seemed to "click" for me was "Celestial Navigation In a Nutshell" by Hewitt Schlereth. YMMV, but I found his explainations to be quite intuitive and easy to follow. Steve Christensen

Gene Grossman has several out - the D203 Celestial Navigation … Nautical Almanac Uses HO249 and D303 Celestial Navigation and Sextant Use (the noon shot). Each is about 2 hours long - Skip the CN for Idiots - it's too elementary.
