We're planning on installing a CDI roller furler system on our 1999 H-260 this spring. Hunter Owners.com offers a CDI FF2 furler for the H-260. Sailrite on the other hand specifies a CDI FF4 furler for the H-260. This very forum has in the past recommended the 'FF2' for the H-260.
My question is - CDI installation manual for the FF2 unit clearly says that the Headstay Length is 29' MAXIMUM. The published length of the forestay on the H-260 is 30.70'. Does this mean that the FF4 unit IS the only acceptable unit - or am I missing something regarding Forestay length? CDI specs say that the maximum headstay length for the FF4 unit is over 31'.
I appreciate any assistance or advice.
