I have the FF2 CDI on a Cat 22 and just bought a new Rolly Tasker 150. I have invested about $700 so far and the luff extrusion is nearly $200 to replace. Here are the pics of mine....would you replace this if it were your boat?

With some judiciously applied heat, the extrusion can be straightened.
It also appears to have some twist? That might be a little more difficult to remedy, but before I spent $200.00, I'd give it a try.

Arizona sunshine, and 4 inch black ABS pipe has been used as an oven. ;)

It has a very slight twist. The bend is more along the longitudinal as if it hit something going forward. It was like that when I bought the boat. Ive left in in the heat and tried to bend it back but I think I'll make it worse. I sent a pic to CDI and they say buy a new one of course. Im wondering if Im stressing the new sail when its under load or losing significant performance. Ive ruled out trying to bend it back myself at this point. Thanks for the response

Go to home depot and get some schedule 40 plastic pipe. 10 foot lengths that interlock. Its JUST a bit bigger than the extrusion. Put it in there all winter and spring. More heat the better. My old one had a nasty bend in it and this fixed it in a month.
