It's time to replace my CDI FF2 furling line on my H240. I've found information on recommended diameter for the line, but any advice on which type of line to purchase? Too many choices! Also, I'm wondering if anyone has an estimate of how many feet of line I should get. (The boat is still in winter storage...). Thanks!

Measure from the bow to the cockpit and add 15 feet. Low stretch and of course line designed for sailing. 1/4 inch line and no larger on the size.

1/4" Regatta braid (New England Ropes) was recommended to me for furler line. It is a single braid, very soft and flexible. Have not installed it yet, so can't speak from experience.

Yes there are too many choices. As long as it is low stretch, you can choose by budget. I prefer the softer lines as I don't wear gloves.
