I recently towed and left my Mac26X in our port boat yard. We have a lot of wind and where they had me park ending up being a very windy spot. I was facing into the wind and had a saftey line on the mast so it didn't fall backwards. Anyway the top cable where it comes out of the CDI fitting parted, leaving about 2 inches plus the swaged thimble. I can't find in the book how to change/repair the cable. Does it come completely out from the bottom? Would appreciate any help on how/what it takes to replace the cable, and could it be replaced with the next size up? I will order one from Blue Water Yachts in Seatle if I can do it myself. Thanks for any help.
