Its seems Sony is famous for faulty CD gears. I've gone through 2 sets of Sony CD/stereo. Same CDs stuck problem. Just need to open up the casing and use elbow grease to get the cd out. Now i changed to other makes.

Can't say for sure if this will work, but I read it somewhere. Disconnect power, including they yellow wire that usually goes to the battery. You can do this by removing the quick disconnect plugs on the back of the radio. Plug it back in and try to eject. Worth a try.

Only kidding the Sony web probably had instructions for exactly your problem.

If not ....I replaced my unit with a $125 best buy unit with all the features of the old one and then some. Given the acoustics on my boat and the harsh environment when it goes bad I'll invest another $125. But after 3 years it's still going strong.

Try power on holding the eject button. This works on older PC's.

Check to see if there is a very tiny hole on the face of the drawer. If so, use a straighten paper clip into the hole and press firmly. This is a mechanical way of opening. Most older cd units have this very small hole.
