Sorry to post this here -- I promise to move it to the correct forum in a couple days.

I received this today and haven't seen it before. It's not from Twitter and likely links to a virus.

It took me a minute or two to identify this as a scam... it's very cleverly created can fool you even if you check the headers and source, unless you look closely.

Bottom line, if you get this today, DON'T CLICK THE LINK.

The thunbnail in Phils original post above is fine as it is only a screen shot. Be cautious of any emails with the subject "Twitter Notification"

Yeah, that happens, I've see them from eBay, Paypal, and some banks, they all look very official.

The eBay one was an exact duplication of the eBay login screen, and the link on it (like help, contact us) were the REAL eBay links.

Bottom line: Never, never enter username , password, or account info in response to an email. These institutions do not send email like that and they are always some kind of scam. :naughty:

Also, never click on a link if you do not know where it goes. A five year old can spoof a website address. Heck, even I can do it.
