Be very careful when buying somthing on line. I sent a check for $100 to Garry Cripps a month and a half ago For an add he ran in the classified on this site for Macgregor pats. $75 for the slide top and $25 for shipping and haven't reseved it yet. The check was sent out and he received it 3 days later . It was cashed 3 days after he received it .I know this because I had called him the day after he got the check. A week later I called him again and He told me he had to get it of the boat. So I waited a week and called to see how thing were going and he said he was having a problem finding a box to ship the top in and said he would have to make one.So another week goes by, called and he said the same thing so I suggested that he could go to the nearest body shop and ask for a bumper box or a box a hood came in,and that he could make a box out of one of these boxes seeing they are so big . I know this because I am a Auto body Tech. And know for the last two weeks he hasn't returned any of my phone calls or emails. I even left a message saying if he couldn't ship it to send the money back and I would find another top some where else that was 2 days ago. I called today and no answer. and know resentily He dosen't return any messages , Phone or email

THE EXCEPTION AND NOT THE RULE
IT IS A GOOD THING THAT YOU CAN LET OTHERS KNOW OF THE DIFFICULTIES YOU ARE EXPERIENCING WITH THIS INDIVIDUAL. I BELIEVE IN GIVING SOMEONE THE BENEFIT OF A DOUBT. TREAT THE PERSON WITH DIGNITY AND RESPECT, AND DO YOUR BEST TO GET IT WORKED OUT. HOPEFULLY THERE WON'T BE A BUNCH OF POSTS WITH PEOPLE HAVING A PROBLEM WITH THIS SAME PERSON. IT REMINDED ME OF A SITUATION WHERE I COULD NOT GET A HOLD OF A MAN IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSINESS TRANSACTION, MY INNER THOUGHTS IMMEDIATELY WERE TELLING ME THIS GUY IS TRYING TO BEAT ME, BUT AS IT TURNED OUT HE HAD ACCIDENTLY LEFT HIS PHONE IN A TOOL BOX AND WAS UNAWARE THAT I WAS TRYING TO CONTACT HIM. I KNEW HE WAS SHOOTING STRAIGHT CAUSE HE WAS REAL HAPPY TO HAVE FOUND HIS PHONE. THERE IS A LOT OF SCAMMING GOING ON OUT THERE, BUT IT IS MY EXPERIENCE THAT MOST PEOPLE WILL DO YOU RIGHT, AND A SCAM IS THE EXCEPTION AND NOT THE RULE. HOPEFULLY THERE WILL BE A LOGICAL EXPLANATION AND ALL WILL BE WELL THAT ENDS WELL.
