+1 on the cqr for me, other than my experience in the pensacola area (bruce/claw anchors win here) everyone ive talked to that has spent extensive time in the islands, especially the salvage divers, say to carry appropriately sized cqr, bruce/claw, and a danforth for spare. lots of shackles, 4-6 50ft lengths of chain, 1-2 lengths of lighter chain of a longer length (100 ft, depends on vessel and stomping grounds) 5-6 100ft sections of nylon rode with thimble spliced ends, size all shackles to work with the different pieces, if the weather gets bad start stacking anchors separated by 50ft of stout chain, the cqr+chain+danforth/claw(depending on the bottom) will hold through a hurricane. you might have to excavate them afterwards but you wont drag.
