Catawba Island / Port Clinton Rigger Recommendations

I purchased a 1980 Hunter recently that the previous owner rigged up in a rather odd fashion.

Am looking for a reliable rigger in the Port Clinton, Catawba Island, Marblehead, Ohio area who doesn't charge a fortune.

Need to tune the rigging, but most of all re-run the halyard for the main since the previous owner pulled it through and has it running on the outside of the mast.

Also, would like to get the Genoa and roller furling looks at since it no longer rolls on its own.

Gary Harris at North Sails in Vermilion does a very nice job of rigging. Can do all the things you mentioned. Nikki Harrison works with him as well. (440) 967-9576

Also try Jon Duer from Doyle. There is a branch in mentor and he comes out to Catawba all the time. He just put new standing rigging on a Catalina 400.

I'm going to go up top to see what is going on, but I'm thinking since the boat is new to me, it would be smart to give North Sails a call to have them at least check the safety of the rigging.

Don't want to pick someone at random just to have them take advantage of the situation. Would prefer recommendations for people others have had success with.

Not had Gary do any rigging but have had him repair sails. Did a great job and very reasonable cost. I would use him again.

I may very well need to get a sail repaired this summer, so knowing he does good sail repairs is a plus as well. Thanks!
