The outlying coves stop in the winter, but Isthmus, Cherry and 4th of July are year-round. The harbormaster and taxi are on channel 09. Rick D. PS: make sure you have a Buffalo Milk at Doug's Harbor Reef.

Thanks! The water here is in dire need of a thermal Culligan man - needs softening, if you know what I mean. We have chartered a Cat 34 for the first week of April to get outta this cold garbage and on to some real water. Thanks Again, OldCat

and everything. Have a good time, BTW, shoreboat is $4.50/person/each way so it's nice to have a dink if available if you are gonna be there long.

Charter Question
Oldcat, You may want to find out the cost to rent an inflatable with outboard. Depending on how long you stay and if you want to move around a bit - it may be a breakeven deal and the dink would give you a bunch of freedom, let you explore and snorkel outlying coves etc. Also - I own a C36- curious the cost to charter a C34? I think Two Harbors is $3/person each way so you can do the math. Check out the link for details on mooring pick-up and other great information. In April you will have your pick of spots. Check out Forth of July Alpha, Bravo, or Charlie row. Totally flat at night and very peacefull. Thanks Guys! Even though I have done Catalina before - in summer - it is great to have the extra info. Shore boat = $4.50? Last time I was there I think it was $3.00. Oh well, is it inflation :{ ? Or - is that just the difference between Avalon and IC? The link below is for Bluewater Sailing in MDR - they have their charter prices on the website.

That's right, Avalon is $4.50, Isthmus may be
less still, been a while since I used it. Keep your eyes out for large spouts, it is not unusual to see large blue and right whales in the channel in spring.
