A few weeks ago, when I found out he had departed, I posted some thoughts regarding Catalina customer service and their long-time manager, David Graas. One of you suggested I forward my comments to the factory... and I did. The following is the response I received from the interim manager, Kent Nelson. It sounds as if he is a bit overwhelmed, but making the effort none the less. --------Joe,Thanks for the info. I am trying to fill David's shoes until we can find a comparable replacement, which will be hard. I have been working on more of the current engineering and am getting up to speed on the older models. I have been deferring quite a few of the boat specific questions to the associations, as I know you guys love your boats and know themintimately and I would rather a customer get the correct information about modifications that people have done to their boats. I've become familiar with where most of the boat drawings are kept, but picking up David's workload this summer, while continuing my own, has been a stretch. I hope you guys understand and know that Catalina will be here to support you (please be patient at times). I'll let David know that you appreciated his help.Good Sailing,Kent ---------------Any Comments? ....................
