We own a Catalina 320.

Question 1: What size wrench do we need to adjust our stuffing box?

Question 2: What size and weight asymmetrical chute should we order that would be appropriate for the size of our boat?

Thank you for your responses.

I use an adjustable wrench from the plumbing supply section of a hardware store. They're around 12 to 15 dollars.

If memory serves me correctly, a 2-1/4" wrench will fit. I had a hard time finding a reasonably priced wrench and went with two aluminum spud wrenches from the plumbing supply deptartment of a bix box retailer as RG Miller has recommended. I think that turned out to be the best option as they are cheap, light weight and corrosion resistant.

If you are going to order a new sail, the sail maker will recommend the size and weight of the sail as will be best for your style of sailing and predominant local wind conditions. I bought ours used from another C-320 owner, so I don't recall the size.

I am pushing 60 and sail shorthanded most of the time. I am capable flying a full rigged radial spinnaker single handed, but feel a sock/sleeve is indispensable for me if our asymmetric is going to get much use.
