Does anyone have an idea how to access the nuts holding the starboard aft double stanchion on the 320? ( 1995 model) the stanchion is leaking into the aft cabin and needs rebedding...but access is severely limited even after taking off bulkhead wood trim, I can see the bolts/nuts but its almost a u-turn to get a wrench on the nut...short of cutting thru the fiberglass wire run tunnel, is there any other way to rebed?? 320 stanchions

I have a 2000 model. I'm suprised to hear there are nuts. When I removed the stern stanchion to install speaker wires, there were none, unless they were imbeded. I just removed the screws, then when I was ready to reinstall I just filled the holes with a marine adhesive/sealent 3M 5200. I haven't had any leaks and the stanchion seems secure. I had thought about putting a backing plate and longer bolts... maybe another project

If the stanchon is drawn tight (not loose) then don't worry abut getting to the nut. Just tape around the stanchon base about 1/8 inch away from the base and then bead caulk around the base.

Catlina 320 stanchion

Jerry, thanks for the suggestion..I heard from Catalina Yachts via email response , and the " gate" stanchion is attached to deck before the hull-deck joint is connected...so access is very difficult, they advised that some cutting would be necessary to get to it, after taking off liner!!...so I will try sealing from outside as you suggested....
