Hull #92
Dave,I just took delivery of hull #92 and it is a great sailing boat with outstanding value. I was able to pick one up that was just delivered to a dealer so my wait was only 2 1/2 months for the commisioning process.I doubt you'll find anything reasonable used but here is what I did: Catalina has segregated there dealers into large and small boat dealerships. The 310 is the largest boat the small dealers can sell, and the smallest boat the large dealers can sell. If your fortunate to have both dealers in your area you might be able to generate a some competitive bidding as I did in San Diego.I spent about 18 months looking at most of the production boats in the 30 - 36 foot range, new and used, and felt a new 310 was best for my wife and I. The boat comes with a lot of standard features but we loaded it with instruments, radar, stereo, dodger and bimini, and leather and still felt it was a better investment then an older 36 with ongoing maintenance needs. The price of used boats on the west coast is high and most were fairly well worn since there's 12 months of sailing each year. Anyway, for a great line up of almost everything available head up to the Pacific Sail Expo in Alameda, CA next month and you can check them all out side by side.Fair windsFrank
