Catalina 310 owners...time to sound off

I tend to agree re: H33 v. C310

First off, this really has turned into a great thread,and I appreciate all of the input. I like Hunters (I've owned a 27 and 29.5), however, after researching the hell out of what you actually get in a Hunter, Catalina, and Beneteau, I've concluded that you really do get the most bang for your buck in a 310 (larger engine, standard windlass, standard fridge, larger winches, not to mention the forward cabin/inner spring mattress). Also, I've chosen the in-mast furling option...I hope to make up for the loss in sail area with a 150 genoa (at least some loss anyway). I do believe that the 33 does smoke on the water vs. the C310, but it all comes down to what's most important. When I want to smoke on the water, I just jump on my brother-in-law's C&C 99, and when we want to cruise, we will jump on our C310...best of both world's.
