Does the 310 have a capacity plate; weight of passengers, number of passengers, etc? If so, where is it?

I do not recall seeing one and I need information for registration.

Can someone provide the information from the plate?

Many thanks !

I believe capacity plates are only required on vessels less than 26 ft or somesuch thing, anyway so far your boat shouldn't have one. Some politicians have suggested capacity plates for all vessels following tragic incidents of overloaded vessels.

Every vessel less than 26 feet in length designed to carry one or more persons and to be propelled by machinery as its principal source of power or designed to be propelled by oars shall, have a capacity plate...

You will have a compliance plate...

The general formula for safe capacity in good weather is: # of Pass = (Length x Beam)/15. Now that would mean we could put 23 people on our 310's. Ha!

If you're looking for # of passengers, I would use common sense and your comfort level. Personally I go with no more than 6 and me. Any more than that it gets crowded in the cockpit and in the event of an emergency, difficult to move around.

That's just my opinion.

23 people @ 150 lbs = 3450 lbs this would be your total load capacity including people, gear, beer. etc.

If you have on board....
3 peoples @ 200 lbs = 600lbs
2 peoples @ 150 lbs = 300lbs
900 lbs total

So.......3450 lbs - 900 lbs = 2550lbs left over for boots, crab pots,
ice and etc.

This is in smooth water conditions and is a guide not a rule.

I am aware. Hence the "Ha" at the end of the sentence.
