Dear All,
I own a 2008 Catalina 309. while running the engine, we are hearing constant thumping sound at 2200 RMP's or higher. this sound can't be heard below 2200 rmp's. we opened the engine comparent and it doesn't appear to be coming from the engine. it's not very loud but loud enough to notice. The engine temp was normal and nothing else seemed to be strange.

Any thoughts would be great!

Check your shaft alignment - even a very small misalignment can cause a rhythmic thumping. Since your boat is new and has probably settled a little since being launched, the shaft alignment should be checked in the water. Also, be sure there's no damage or even marine growth on your prop that could be unbalancing it.
