Catalina 30 Windlass questions

I'm trying to do research for a windlass for my Gen 1 Catalina 30 with bow sprit. I saw in an old thread that someone put a Lewmar 700 in front of their anchor locker which looked like a nice clean set up. When I was looking at the Lewmar 700 it says it is limited to 1/4" G4 chain. My 2 questions are,

1) Does anyone have any specific recommendations or tips as to installing a windlass on a cat 30?

2) 1/4" G4 chain has a working load of 2,600 lbs. Is this sufficient for an 11,000 pound boat?

Where I am looking to go to all chain the lighter weight of G4 is attractive, I just want to make sure it is up to the task.
