Any guidance regarding what the tension on the bobstay should be? With an adjustable backstage tbe tension on the headstay can vary. Is it reasonable to think the headstay and bobstay tensions can be such that the vertical components of each force cancel out? Then the bow sprit would only see axial compression load (no bending). The sprit will always see some bending load, but it would be nice to minimize it.
