On my 1982 30ft the shower drains into the bilge What idid did was pick up a 12volt utility pump by surflo and ran an extension from the shower hose to the pump which was mounted under the port sette and a switch put on the shower wall.
Outlet for the pump is via a new through hull above the water line.
I just turn on the pump when the water level gets up a little
