Catalina 30 Replacement Mast

I need to replace the mast on my C30 Tall Rig. I've been looking for a used replacement for a few months but haven't been successful. Anyone know of one for sale? Anyone had to replace with another mast? How did it go?

If you can't find one used you can contact Seldon. I think they made the original masts and booms.

A very large percentage of the spars have been provided by Charlston Spar. What I got from Catalina, was that these may have actually had a Selden sticker on them.

There is a Catalina 30 mast, pulpit, and pushpit on EBay right now. Three separate listings.

I would try to find a local source for a new or salvaged mast as the shipping costs from E Bay would be astronomical for a mast due to the weight & of course the huge length. I wouls also perform a detailed inspection of the mast upon delivery, as it could become damaged or kinked from shipping or salvage. Sometimes you can get lucky & find a C 30 or similar heighth mast being parted out from a boat at a nearby yard. There were after all over 7,000 C 30's built & not all of 'em survive forever. Also keep in mind that the very early C 30 masts had a different design for the spreaders & rigging then the later models.

The EBAY mast is in Easton, Maryland for local pickup only. Easily in range of Atlanta. It's a 42 foot mast and has a bunch of extras on it. I'm not sure if that's standard or tall.
