Hi all; Hope your summer is going OK. It seems no matter how much time I spend on the water, it never seems to be enough. In the Chesapeake area we got a real soggy start. I thought that I would bring everyone up to date on progress of reforming the C28 Association. Peggy Brand from California has volunteered to be Secretary. Don Kneedler has agreed to stay on as editor. We continue to receive support from Mainsheet and the International All Catalina Alliance (IACA) and Lu Ann Smith, DB coordinator. While we missed the publishing deadline for the last issue of Mainsheet, we will have some content for the next issue this fall. We still have some more work to do. I would like to encourage any C28 sailor who can spare some time to contact me through this list or off line. My email address is marshall@food4pets.com <mailto:marshall@food4pets.com> and my phone number is 410-643-3426. Any help or ideas for the good of the association are appreciated. I believe having an active association for a boat currently in production is very important. Having a viable C28-A will give us a voice in Mainsheet and technical assistance from Catalina. We also need to have a National Association before we can form local fleets or participate in class racing. Hope to hear from you soon and see some of you on the water. Marshall & Diane Lucas and The Merrythoutht Poodles S/V Merrythought C28, #713
