Hi fellow Catalina owners: Does anyone on the list have a wiring diagram for the vintage of our "Take Time" sailboat?

We are the proud owners of this craft and are gradually working our way through all of the well needed maintenance issues... Had to do a serious propane retrofit including building an enclosure in the lazerette.

Wiring is current project to be followed by holding tank and Masserator.

Any words of advice or wisdom gratefully appreciated...

There is a wiring diagram in the owner's manual, which can be found at www.catalina27.org.

Unless it's been modified by one of its previous owners, the original cabin wiring begins at the panel near the bottom of the companionway ladder and is imbedded (bad news) into the starboard side of the interior liner.... following a counter clockwise journey around the cabin, terminating at the port side cabin light.

Fishing new wires would be a very difficult task because they are imbedded. Running new conduit, using your creativity to hide as much as possible, is a saner alternative.

Thanks Joe: I will take a look at that wiring diagram and I appreciate your comments... Life is never easy -- especially with an older boat that someone decided to retrofit without leaving a trail... GROAN... JohnG
