I recently purchased a 1978 Catalina 27, with a Lister-Petter (British) inboard diesel. It's taken an act of congress to find out If there is still an owners/operators manual available (Lister-Petter was NO help). I've been able to piece together filter info, etc., and am now searching for any information on recommended gear lube for the trans. I would like to change out the current trans lube as I don't have maintenance records (or manuals) on this boat.
Any help would be much appreciated. I've talked to Catalina (Dealership) and a friend who has a Yanmar inboard in his 1988 C27, but not sure his trans runs the same lubricants.
