a question maybe some one that has worked with glass repair may know and pass some wisdom, as I was updating our compression post as it was soft and in need of replacing I drilled a test hole to find the keel board under the fiberglass bilge area moist but not yet in the rotten state well I am doing this up grade at this time too, Catalina specs call for 3 layers mat and 3 layers of roving but my question when laying the first layer up I will sand and prep the area 6" up the sides to get a bond but should I use polyester or epoxy I see that polyester dose not bond great with cured out polyester, I like working with it as epoxy seems to be IMO stronger but I just don't work well with it but it states It can bond if properly prepped original material,
