Hello Captains!
What type of paint do you suggest for painting interior fiberglass?
What type of paint fo you suggest using to paint laminate bulkheads?
There is so many holes in the bulkheads from previous owners mounting incline meters, compasses and cute nautical brass saying plaques... and what would you suggest patching these holes with?
I only have one more port light to reseal yoo hoo!!!!

Not too many C27 owners on the Hunter Owners forum but I do have some answers for you. As a previous 3 time Catalina owner I did some of the projects you are asking about. I have heard some use a latex house paint for fiberglass because of the flexibility, I have had great luck using Rustoleum gloss and brushing it on. I did the insides of the all the lockers on both our C25 and C27, it adhered well and the "eggshell" matched the fiberglass original color. The laminate bulkheads are another story though. I believe that is the same material as older Formica kitchen counters and paint, any paint does not stick very well. I did use colored putty to fill old mounting holes and although it was close, the holes were still there if you looked for them. I did not try to paint the laminate.

Sealing portlights is every older Catalina owners never ending project. I found that adding caulking material between the fiberglass headliner and coach roof all around the opening, letting it cure and then sealing things up worked the best. With that area being a big gap it was hard to get enough force to get the inner and outer portlight frames sealed for very long. the two surfaces just kind of squished together when you tightened the screws.

Hope this helps, the C27 is fun sailing boat, we had a blast with ours.
