bulkhead replacement
it's not that tough, but time consuming. (both bulkheads) i unhooked the upper shrouds, used my halyards to steady the mast, removed all the screws and bolts, used the old bulkheads for a template, put a matching white laminate on (boy does it look better), and put it back and reattached the screws, bolts, and chainplates.the two tough places... taking out the bolts that go through the bulkhead /seat bulkhead. there was gunk on the end of the bolts and i couldn't unscrew the nut. i had to grind off the heads to get 2 of the 4 out. AND be sure to take out the head because you'll have a heck of a time getting the bulkhead in and out with it in place.now i have to figure out what to use for molding that goes around the sides of the bulkhead. i'm thinking about using a sisal rope. others have told me it was harder but that's my story and i'm sticking to it.good luck.
