I have seen a few pictures of the Catalina 26. It looks like a real boat, but I know there were not that many produced. Does anyone know much about this boat? How does it sail, good points and bad points etc. Thanks Dale

The boat your talking about is a Capri 26 built by catalina. This boat is an OK boat but its a race boat. Its OK if thats what your looking for. Its certainly no family cruise boat

I have a friend that has one and it is not really what I would call a race boat or a cruising boat. It does not seem to point very well or have a great turn of speed. The interior leaves a lot to be desired. The v-berth is only suitable for small children and there is limited head room. I'm not sure where Catalina was heading with this boat but it was not successful. I would rather have the Catalina 25, better interior and same speed for a lot less money.
