removehtml]My centerboard cable snapped on my moored Catalina and the centerboard fell and basically anchored the boat in the sand. I was gone for two weeks and the many wind and tide shifts really loosened the centerboard and enlarged the hole where the centerboard pin goes. Can anyone recommend a good repair shop that would be knowledgeable in repairing Catalina 22s in the Toms River area??Error: Error: expected [/URL], but found [/removehtml] instead[/removehtml]

C 22 keel problems
Craig: First step probably is to go to www.catalina22.org and see what info. you can get on keel repair. Might want to get their Technical Manual CD which has lots of advice. Requires removal of keel, probably getting a bushing welded into the cast iron keel at a machine shop, a new brass pin and a new cable, maybe a new turning ball and likely should replace the hose at top of cable cone.
