Cat27 engine cutout modification

HELP,

I just purchased an older Catalina 27 (1976) with a Yamaha 8 hp 4 stroke. It does not tilt far enough to get out of the water becuse of the engine cutout size and the rear lazerette cover.

What has everybody else done to rectify this (pics please). I've found some info on older threads (2003) but no pics.

The Catalina 27 International Association is kinda quiet, but try www.catalina27.org, they're experts on your boat and may have some answers, maybe in their own archives and/or message board.
