Rebuilding or replacing the engine to cockpit wire harness is a must to prevent the fire that I experienced. But, don't rely on great direction from the schmatics provided by Seaward Products for an easy fix. Call or e-mail me for more details. My fix took alot of time and effort just to find the problem. Then, after having all the new parts, much more time to figure out what exactly to do because the Seaward instructions are not clear at all. A week later I have a well performing boat but it didn't happen without alot of expertise that is not normally easily available. Contact me for details. Paul B.
