Anyone have advice on a squeaky tiller? The tiler post head on my Cat 30 seems to rotate on a plastic sleeve or bushing. For some reason, a squeaky noise like two pieces of rubber rubbing together, just started. The rudder was replaced about two or 3 years ago by a previous owner. I can pull up on the tiller and get about 2 to 3 inches of clearance between the tiller head and this bushing. But when the rudder post returns to normal position, the squeaking starts again. Should I lube with silicone grease? John
