cat 30 spreaders

The Spreaders on my 1983 Catalina 30 appear to be badly worn at
the bracket connection. I noticed one spreader moving back and forth
while sailing. The spreader material is wood. Does anybody have info
on replacement parts?

Catalina Direct has many replacement parts for your boat and other Catalinas. Their edress is obvious.

BTW, you wooden spreaders are one of the first items on your To Do - Replacement list based on past C30 skippers' experience.

I replaced my wood spreaders on my 1982 C-30 maybe fifteen years ago with aluminum ones I purchased from Catalina Parts Supply in Woodland Hills CA.

I replaced my wood spreaders last year on my 1981 Cat 30. Got the parts from Catalina Direct. The most difficult part was extracting the thru bolt and old compression post. Once these were removed, it was a 1/2 day project.

Looking at the old spruce spreaders, the bottom looked OK, the tops-not so much...
