Just bought a 97 c250wk and are looking forward to sailing it. I would say that most of my sailing will be done single handed. My question is should I consider adding winches for the head sail aft by the wheel? They are now on top of the cabin. If I don't add them, how difficult will it be to adjust the sails?

I run my jib sheets to the genoa winches when I single hand. I run them from the cabin-top fairleads down to the genoa track and then to the winch. Works great.

I'd say do it, but I'd also check with Catalina to see if you need to build up the glass where you're going to install them as they don't seem to be a standard option.

It has been done before by several people. I would ask over on http://www.catalina-capri-25s.org/forum/ for some specifics.
