Castle Hill Cove access?

Anyone familiar with access to Castle Hill Harbor near Newport, RI? Any anchoring there, or moorings? Shore access via dinghy?

I searched the web, but couldn't come up with anything clear.

are you referring to the Coast Guard small boat station there? If so, that's all that is there.

There is an anchorage in Newport Harbor to your starboard as you enter. It's marked on the charts. There is also an anchorage in a cove area opposite Castle Hill on the SE end of Conanicut Is.

No anchoring or shore access and frequent uscg traffic. Good info in cruising guide to Narragansett.

...there appears to be a Castle Hill Marina, next to the Coast Guard Station, with docks in the cove.

I called the Castle Hill Inn and they said no access. Oh well!

I have my old cruising chart for there. I marked the marina as private, plenty of other places to enjoy. My personal favorite was potters cove near the north end of prudence island.
