Carpet like walls

On my 28, the cabin has walls with a carpet like covering. Last year I used a power washer on the exterior and I think some of the water got behind the paneling and ruined the glue. Do any of my fellow O'Day owners have any suggestions on how to repair this? I don't really want to have to rip it all down but I need to secure the paneling back up. Suggestions?

Cloth liner suggestions

Jamie, You may be able to deal with the problem easily, but you want to take the time to assess it thoroughly first. Q1: You think water got behind the liner while you were using the power washer. How did the water infiltrate? You might want to figure this out and deal with it before you fix the liner or at best you will have to do it again, and at worst you will do core damage. Q2: Is the liner now completely dry, and did it dry mold free? If it will not dry completely, or if it got moldy, ditch it before you mildew the remainer of the cabin. If you have been able to dry it, however, go to your local boating supply store and get 3M's spray adhesive. It is especially designed for regluing trim in automotive applications, and ought to work for you just fine. Justin - O'day Owner's Web
