She floats with no leaks. I took delivery yesterday of Carolina Girl, our new 260. Butch Berchem of Select Yachts had originally scheduled for 03/06/03 but ran into some conflicts with his time. The ramp and dock at Portman Marina, Lake Hartwell, S.C. was more than adequate for our needs. Plenty of room, easy slope, and not busy, allowing plenty of time for Butch to demo all the pre-launch and launch proceedures. The lake was glassy smooth with zero air movement so we motored around for about 45 minutes and then put the Girl back on the trailer to go home. Chet Lawson----------saw your boat in the storage yard on S.C, 187. Butch wants to know if you're prairie sailing? He wants to coordinate a day in about three weeks when he can get both of us and our boats in the water on the same day and place. I'm in the Owner Directory this site. E-mail me. Steve, Way to go, I know you are excited about your new "Girl". I acctually saw you and the Girl heading up I-85 on my way home the other day. And yes, I have become an accomplished prairie sailor. I'll be in touch about getting together for a sail.

Maybe I'll see you on the water

My wife and I have been sailing our 96 H26, Angelia, on Hartwell since 96. Saw your post. Trains too? Did not get any sailing done last year due to lake level, but plan on it now that level is up. Look us up, we are moored at Hartwell Marina.
