Hunter 36. 2004. My CO alarms have been going off when the boat is unattended. I figured they were false alarms but bought a meter. It read 150 when I got to the boat today. No motor running. The only things on were the fridge, battery charger and outlets. I cannot figure out what is generating the CO. Any ideas? Thanks so much.

CO detectors are often cross-sensitive with other gasses. One of the common causes on a boat is hydrogen from battery off-gassing. What is you battery charger float voltage? Do you notice any significant water loss from them?
Certainly sounds like hydrogen gas being evolved typically from overcharging batteries. Likely cause - One or more battery cells might be 'bad' or the charger may be malfunctioning.
With an H-310, if like mine, the battery compartment is separated form the cabin by the length of the cockpit. Can't see how the H2 can travel that far.
As mentioned, typically an old style battery charger that maintains a constant voltage on the batteries. My CO alarm often went off when I left the boat on shore power with the old battery charger on. I have upgraded to solar power with a smart controller that runs a stepped up charging program. No more alarms.
How old is the CO alarm? As they age they become less reliable and more subject to error.
