Could someone please explain to me why those "high-tech" carbon masts keep breaking on those long distance races like the Volvo?
If I were the guy putting up the dough for those expensive race boats I would be pretty ticked at the designers/engineers who built them. And the Volvo is not the first event that this has happened. Is there a better or more durable method to make the rigging last then entire race?
