I recently purchased a Capri-18 that is missing the battery. I'm assuming it's a 12 volt, but have no idea the size group to purchase. The battery compartment looks to be about 10.25"x6.5" which doesn't really match up with any of the sizes I've seen. (Unless the battery doesn't sit all the way to the bottom of the compartment.) Anyone out there know which battery I should get? Thanks in advance, Dan

Battery size

I own a capri 22 which is designed to have a group 24 deep cycle battery. The manual I have is for the Capri 18 and Capri 22. It says your battery is " 12 volt, deep cycle 90 amp hour battery."

Lawn Tractor Battery

Dan: The dimensions that you give appear to be the size of a lawn tractor battery. Our battery on our C-22 was originally a group 24 battery, that I changed to a group 27, because we cruise it. Our battery sits inside a plastic battery box. A friend from our fleet once gave me a little battery box that is about the size that you describe. So I would guess that is what your battery should go into. I didn't know that they made deep cycle batteries that size, but they might. Are you familiar with the lawn tractor batteries that I am mentioning? I guess that the battery mainly runs lights on your boat. Group 24 Fits!

Picked up a Group 24 from West Marine. While it was a tight squeeze, it did fit! Thanks for all of your help.
